The Breathtaking World of Anxiety

I spent 9 years researching, capturing treatment scenarios and successful treatment approaches, and writing this series.  Normalizing and educating people about anxiety is the focus of my trilogy.

The format is broken down into the following three Volumes:

Volume I

The Oceans, provides a unique conceptual flow, starting with fear and the delineations between anxiety and fear, anxiety and worry, anxiety and stress, and anxiety and depression.  Typical versus atypical anxiety and other general versions of anxiety are covered, and the wide range of manifestations is broken down into different categories.   Overviews of official/unofficial types of anxiety disorders fill out the rest of the section, including OCD, Trauma, Perfectionism, and Emotional Self-Abuse.

Volume II

The Fields begins with the most defining characteristics of the human condition, including consciousness, attachment, temperament, and social standing which have enduring influences on everyone.  Self-esteem, communication/self-advocacy, contemporary society, death, and other topics flesh out the full range of primary issues people must contend with.  Most people do not comprehend the full ramifications of these wide-ranging and primary topics concerning themselves, others, and life overall.

Volume III

The Hills begins with a healthy lifestyle and then goes directly into awareness and ownership of anxiety, deep breathing, self-talk, and effective coping skills vs compromised coping skills giving a full understanding of how to address anxiety in the best ways possible.  Concrete recommendations for treatment, cautionary information regarding medications and eighteen case examples ranging from mild to severe add valuable clinical perspectives and insights.

I have yet to see another book on anxiety that has this ascending layout, comprehensive arc, and incisive knowledge of anxiety dovetailed into an easy-to-use reference manual.  Also, as a practicing psychotherapist specializing in anxiety, I share this information and utilize these techniques regularly. My patients make significant progress and are often able to reduce or sometimes eliminate medication, even those who have already been through multiple rounds of therapy or languished on medication for decades.

NB:  These books were completed in 2021 and I would probably further research, change, or add a few things to the books, and maybe one day I will, especially if a publisher offers me a book deal.
